CAR RACING

There are five classes of racing cars:

Fiat Uno 1.0 CC

Opel Astra = 1.4 CC

MG's = 1.8 to 3.5 CC

FVW = 1.6 CC

Formula Opel = 2.0 CC

Each has a different engine power as above

Derek Daly drove in the Phoenix Park about twenty years ago now he is famous for his diving in America

Also Damon Hill the famous F1 driver drove in the Phoenix Park one year

Christof Bullion drove the Williams F1 in the Phoenix Park

Back in 1985 for pactice they would drive down the Fury Glen and up the main road.

Most of the races were held in Mondello. My Dad was a car racer as well back then and he won many trophies
