Gaelic Sport in the Phoenix Park

Hurling is a male or female game. You have a stick. It is round at the end and kind of pointy at the top. The sliotar is round and hard. It is made out of leather and thread. Many people from all over Dublin and schools play hurling in the Phoenix Park. The ladies game is called camogie and the men's game is called hurling.

A hurling match is a quite tough game. When you are playing a match you are not allowed to pick the ball up with your hands. It is a really enjoyable game.

Some teams such as Fionbars, Bridgets, Plunkets,Thomas Davids and Round Towers play in the Phoenix Park. My brother played in the Phoenix Park.

Galelic Football

Galelic is a great game. To play you have a football. You have to hop the ball once, then you have to solo the ball. You are not allowed to hop the ball twice or you are not to solo the ball twice. It is often played in the Pheonix Park. Sometimes clubs play in the Pheonix park. Ages ago they would play in teams of 12. They would often play in the 50 acres.

The pitches are quite big i n the Phoenix Park. The 50 Acres moving along the school's pitch was quite big too.
