Leaves and Leaflets.

The Oak, Sycamore and the Beech all have single leaves.

Did you know?

I n Autumn, when the leaves fall off the trees, the sun can reach the woodland floor.It helps species of ground-cover plants to grow and live until the canopy re-opens in spring. Conifers don't allow any light to shine on the woodland floor and very little will grow beneth them.

Leaflets

The Horse-Chestnut has leaflets, so does the Ash. If a tree has leaflets, it means that each leaf has more than one part.
