[back]   woman artist, with Modern Art looking over her shoulder and who despite it all believes in the potential of realist painting and in the power of 'old' images. Her paintings, apparent anachronisms, are perfect little domains where the inescapabilities of this time, not only can be forgotten for a while, but where they are, sometimes in an uncomfortable and deceiving way, being confronted with precision, commitment, concentration and silence.
