Dickie Curran wins New Year Stages

DICKIE CURRAN won today's New Year Stages rally based at Kirkistown race circuit in his new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII. Fellow Bangor man Jaye Jordan with co-driver Graeme Stewart took second position after a good run in their Escort Cosworth. The pair set fastest time on the opening stage but tough competition followed throughout the remaining five stages. Fintan McGrady finished third in his Escort Cosworth while Michael Curran finished fourth ahead of the similar Lancer of Craig Bennett.
