We have had constant contact from Dolie and family since the re-union and she is up to date on all the goings on at the rally. She has also sent on some photos and we will get them up on the site soon. In the meantime here is one taken at the Allan Brown Award ceremony when he came 2nd out of 33K+ Truck Drivers. Congratulations Allan and well done. We are also delighted to get this photo.

On Friday, October 20th.2000, I received a phone call from a Rosemary Maher, who was staying overnight in Eugene Treanor's Guest House in Truagh. She was trying to find out something about her relations. Her grandfather was Thomas McKenna, who turned out to be a brother of Elizabeth McMahon. Her mother had spent a year, when she was 10 years of age, with the Hughes of Emyvale and while there she played with a wee fellow called Peter McMahon. That was around 1920. Her mother has never been back in Ireland since then and is still alive at the age of 91. Through Rosemary we hope to be able to get more information on that side of the family to add to the details, which Dympna Read has gathered already. On Saturday morning I took her to Corracrin to visit the graves of her forefathers. I then took her to Eugene McKenna's of Derrylea, where she was given a full run down on that side of the family. Eugene's father, Pac, was a brother of her grandfather, Thomas.

Meet Paul McGuire and his beautiful wife, Nikki. Paul is son of Rita and Patrick. The picture was taken on their wedding day on Sept. 15th 2000. The happy couple live in Islington, London

Congratulations to Gerard, son of Ted and May, who was on the Channel 4 Quiz Show - 15 to 1 on Thursday, March 22nd.2000. He did extremely well but unfortunately a couple of Literature questions caught him out. It was the luck of the draw, because if he had got some of the other questions asked, he would have been there at the end. He certainly cleared some of the other contestants out of the way. Well done Gerard, and I must say--you are looking healthy and well.

Congratulations to Pauric Molloy and Fiona McArdle, who were married on Saturday, November 3rd 2001. The ceremony was in Urbleshanny and and the reception was held in Cabra Castle.

Ted paid a visit to Emyvale recently and he is following up a great story, which should be of interest to all McMahons. I'm waiting for him to send me details.

Congratulations to Yvonne McManus, who was married to Paul Patton on Friday, September 14th. 2001. The marriage ceremony was in Clones followed by a reception in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan. Everyone had a terrific day.

It was great to see Lily, Celine, Ronnie, Chris, Sarah, James, Daniel, Cathy, Helena and Helen when they were in Emyvale for the weekend of August 19th. 2001. Hope you had a very enjoyable time.

This is another fantastic photo of Monica, Roger and Alexander in Ireland. I'm not sure of the location of either but the second looks like Kerry. Monica now tells me that the photographer was Vincent McEvoy and the location of the first was Howth and the second Wicklow - Powerscourt maybe?

Monica, Roger and Alexander in Ireland. This production of the photo does not do justice to the original, which is a terrific view with magnificent colours. Here's a little question - can anyone see the massive 'frog' on the right of the photo? Monica loves Ireland and is looking forward to another visit soon. Isn't it terrible that we who live here cannot be aware of the same beauty?

The McMahon Clan has produced some beauties and here are two of them.

This is a photo taken at Daniel's Confirmation recently. It was great that Deborah was able to be present.

This is Alexander and was taken two years ago. With looks like that he will be a popular boy with the ladies in the near future!

We're all invited to the party

Back But we've more !!!
