On behalf of McNally Swords CC and Stamullen M Donnelly RC we wish to say a ‘big thank you’ to everybody who helped to make the National Senior Men/Ladies Road Race Championships in Stamullen last Sunday a delightful success.
Great credit is due, firstly to the two sponsors BBB Bike Parts and Ideal Bikes, to whom we are indebted. This sponsorship, which was secured through Richie McNamara of Richie’s Bike Shop in Swords, gave our cycling clubs the opportunity to promote the very best championships possible. Thanks to Fr. Daly (local PP) who welcomed all the cyclists and supporters to Stamullen and then sent them on their way.
We follow on by thanking the Gardai for providing great protection to everybody throughout the day, Order of Malta, Civil Defence, Kentstown Accordion Band, St. Mary’s Baton Twirlers, Snaz who played on stage all afternoon, Race Doctor, Dr. Philip Brady (who travelled from Edenderry), The Service Crews, Race Stewards, Motorbike Marshals, Lead Car Drivers, All the people who came to assist in the Tented Village. The Meath Co. Council and the Fingal Co. Council. We also very much appreciated the support given by all the neigbouring clubs.If we have left out anybody – we apologise.
This was a joint promotion between McNally Swords CC and Stamullen M Donnelly RC and we would appreciate that it be accepted as such, thus giving equal credit to all concerned.
