Club person of the year: Voted by members
8 races to qualify for prize
Should it be
neccessary to seperate riders on equal points,
the rider with the most wins, takes the prize.
If this is equal its goes to the most 2nd places and so on.
The above hierarchy
has been in existance for many years, going back to a few years
ago when Paul Leggett was running the league.
Only a Club Member can win the League. Visitors compete in a
different section with the exeption of U/age riders from
Balbriggan Swords riders in the U/age & Drogheda who compete
on equal footing to categoriesbased on results per race (since
2000). Placings in the U/age categories are against each other
apart from how they might do in the race proper(since 1999). The
Ladies section has two sets of points also so so as to give extra
(since 1995?) competition to these categories.
U12/14 riders are not handicapped into the League proper but do
compete against each other over shorter distances, generaly
setting them off with the limit group. In exceptional
circumstances (since 2001) where an U14 rider is deemed good
enough may, if they wish, compete as U16 in the League proper (e.g.Sean
Rock).
