Introducing :
Stephen Halpin

What was your introduction to cycling ?(First Club, first races, first result)
I got intriduced to cycling by my dad and then started the Club League in 2003 (first year U16) and got a kicking in that for the first year. Got a taste for it when I got placed a few times, thanks to the handicapper and Fred Harte and the lads trying to keep a lid on me, trying to teach me to ride steady!! First open road prize was when Michael Daly, Grace and myself took the team prize in the All Ireland U16.

First big win was prob the Meath Grand Prix when I was a Junior. Was away all day but got caught then got away with 3 Dan Morrisey riders and attacked them coming in the road.. they werent to happy after that haha. Two weeks previous to that I had the honour to win our own Kathleen O'Sullivan Memorial and was the first Swords rider to win it and that was quite special too
