Business Studies in Mountmellick Community School is one of our optional subjects. Business Studies has become a popular subject over the years. Business has become popular not only for girls but for boys too. The two teachers for Business Studies are Mrs Coughlan and Mrs Hogan.
The Junior Cert course covers areas like Book–keeping and organization, understanding how the business world operates, how to budget, write a cheque etc.
At Senior level it breaks into two subjects – Accountancy and Business
Organization – both with very great direct relevance to the world of employment.
