About Our School

Mother of Divine Grace Holy Faith Primary School is situated in Ballygall, between Finglas and Glasnevin, about five kilometres north of Dublin city. Our school is bright and spacious and is situated in its own grounds with panoramic views of Dublin Bay and the Dublin/Wicklow mountains to the south.

In 1962, Mother of Divine Grace consisted of two schools: Mother of Divine Grace Infant School and Mother of Divine Grace Girls National School. The schools were opened to provide for the needs of the families from the new housing estates in Finglas East.  Enrollment reached a peak of over 1,000 children in the mid-seventies but a trend of falling numbers since then resulted in the amalgamation of the two schools in September 1997.

Over 300 children from, 12 countries, attend Mother of Divine Grace School today - boys and girls to fifth class and girls only in sixth. The children wear a navy blue uniform with a white shirt and red tie.  Mrs. Alice Bermingham is the principal and there are nineteen teachers including two Learning Support, one Early Start, a shared Home/School/Community Liaison teacher, one Resource teacher, an English as a Foreign Language teacher and a Drama Therapy teacher.    There are six classroom assistants and one child-care worker.

Along with the teaching staff, many people help make our school a happy, clean and safe place: our secretary, the cleaning staff, our caretakers and our Lollipop Lady.

The parents play an active role in the school, both educationally and financially and their whole-hearted support is much valued and appreciated.
