Football
Football started
more than 100 years ago in England. Some people call it soccer. Soccer is a team
game. Each team has eleven players.
The idea of the game is to kick the soccer ball into the goal. A team gets
one point if they get a goal. Players can use their head or feet to pass the
ball and the players on the other team try to stop them. They do this by making a tackle or by getting the
ball for their team. The team that scores the most goals wins the game.
The footballers need to
be able to run fast, jump high, and be good at passing the ball.
