Places to Visit in Our Locality

Fourth Grade have been finding out about places to visit in their area.

Introduction

Fourth and fifth graders in Mrs. Fields, Mrs. Harper’s and Mrs. Bullington’s classes conducted research about interesting places to visit in our area, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our city is known as the “Scenic City of the South” and we think you will agree when you check us out at this website used for our research.

 Our Favourite Places

This is my city. I like it here. The picture shows our famous Lookout Mountain and the Walnut Street Bridge. Behind the bridge you can see an unusual building that has glass spikes at the top of it. This building is the Tennessee Aquarium. The bridge crosses over the Tennessee River. On the left of the picture is a cliff and on top if is the Hunter Art Museum.

Coolidge Park is named in honor of Charles Coolidge, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient. Coolidge Park features a beautifully restored hand-carved carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, an open-air performance venue, and lots of open space.

Coolidge Park is the greatest place in the world. It is really fun and you can go swimming and play games and also have cookouts there. If you are feeling sad, go to Coolidge Park and you will have a smile on your face. I really love Coolidge Park. My family and I always have cookouts there. You can also walk on the Walnut Street Bridge that is over 100 years old. You can go walking around the park. Or, if you are bored, just go to Coolidge Park. I hope you love it.
