The Killing Men

Hi my name is Fred.  You might think that this sculpture is lovely but it’s not.  It’s someone’s body.  How would you like it if someone came and chopped half your body off? 

I was just swimming one day and suddenly this man came over and asked me for a loan of a swimming cap.  I didn’t have one so I told him to get lost.  I probably shouldn’t have been so rude because he told me I would suffer the consequences.  I thought he was just an old man who didn’t know what he was talking about, so I went home. 

The next day I got ready for swimming.  It was just an ordinary swimming lesson.  My six friends and I were swimming when the old man came. 

“Because you have been so cruel, you and your friends will be turned to stone for a hundred years.” 

So here I am with my six friends.  We have learned a lesson and we’ll never be cruel again. 

However .....  on the other hand all we have to do is wait for another 50 years and we’ll be back.
