If you stay with us and like to walk over coastal mountains, you can start immediately outside the front door. There are easy walks, moderate walks and walks for those who are fit and experienced. You can walk for 10 minutes to look at a fabulous view up the west coast of Donegal from a height of 600 feet. From there, you could walk down to the huge beach at Maghera and, if the tide is out, explore the caves there.

Alternatively, if you are not energetic, you could do very little. Your accommodation has its own outside door, a small hallway, a large bedroom and a shower room. The bedroom (5m x 5m) has a large double bed and a single bed that will convert to a pair of bunks. You also have the use of a sitting room with an open fire and Sky television (which does not have to be on!).

If you want us to supply an evening meal, we do need to know in advance. We can give you a home-cooked dinner (with wine if you like) but this cannot be done at short notice!

Ardara (our nearest and very friendly town) is a 'Heritage Town' - well known for its traditional hand-woven tweeds. The surrounding area has wonderful opportunites for anyone who enjoys life outdoors. Local attractions include vast empty beaches, a range of fresh-water and sea fishing, mountain walking (including the highest sheer sea cliffs in Europe), an 18-hole golf course, pre-Christian sites, horse-riding and some good restaurants.
