Team Player
for a Publicity Package tailored to your needs.
As a club with over 200 active playing
members, Merville United is always in need of support from the Local Business
Community. However, we realise that there must be a cost benefit in terms of
publicity to those who become our partner supporters in the field of
Sponsorship. Gone is the day (Although one off No publicity support is always
welcome!) that the fact that someone is in Business means that an open
chequebook is available. Merville United Seek to offer various packages to
local sponsors, all of which will provide direct benefit to our players and the
community at large.
Although each package is tailored to the
need of the client, some of the opportunities that can be discussed as follows:
- Kit
Sponsorship: With 7 Active teams in the local boys leagues, and support for
the girls teams which include full sharing of kit and equipment, renewal of
playing kit is always to the fore. Over 150 games take place annually
involving Merville Teams, and our kits are also available to the Maugheraboy
Community Games Squads, and local representative teams that play at Merville
also avail our kits from time to time. Each kit has a useful shelf life of
three years, and Product exposure, in terms of logo placement on the jerseys
is enhanced by regular media coverage. Typical investment per kit
comprising 18 sets, including prominent display of your product or service
is €850 inclusive of VAT (May 2006).
- Equipment
Sponsorship: The wide and varied range of equipment used by Soccer Squads in
ongoing participation is ever growing. Although our members make regular
contributions, renewal of such materials is essential in maintaining our
success. As an example, under the rules of the Local Leagues, a Match
Quality Ball is a requirement for a team to play. Match balls are notorious
for wear and tear, considering the number of locations involving pitch side
roads, hedges, walls and stones, all liable to render them unsuitable or
unusable at any time. Annually Merville United spends €300 on match balls
alone, with a further €300 on training balls, which are of a lesser quality,
and have a higher turnover. Add to the simple need of footballs, essential
items such as legally mandatory medical kits (€100 each plus constant
restocking), water bottles, pitch lining paint (€15 per game typically),
mowing the playing surface (€50 per cut, 35 cuts annually) and it becomes
clear that cash support is essential to keep the club at the high level of
achievement of the past 25 years. In return for such support, the club can
agree packages that can include inclusion in our regular newsletters, local
media photo opportunities, and pitch side billboards in full view at each
game over an agreed period. Merville United also offers prominent display
of supporter logos on our website, which is viewed over 2000 times a month,
not only by our own members and supporters, but by people all over the North
West, as it is displays up to date information on the local leagues.
- High Profile
Garment Sponsorship: In 2004, Merville United embarked on an ambitious plan
to provide our members with tracksuits as part of our drive to make the
identity of being a player for the club part of our ethos. Since then
provision of wet training jackets for our members, has further cemented the
concept that being a Merville United player also has its responsibilities,
when being identified as a player in our community. As 2007 is our 25th
anniversary, the profile of the club will be enhanced by support of the
supply of Jackets, polo shirts, and tracksuits to our mentors and members.
Our Club deals with Clothing Suppliers of the highest quality, and will have
an all important lasting visual image. All Business Logos will be
embroidered to the highest standard on each garment involved. The status of
Soccer clothing as fashion items, complete with business branding, will mean
that the impact of any support will be immediate and extremely popular.
Indeed we expect that should we secure the right partners in this project,
the polo shirts in particular will become popular desirable items among the
community in general. Various packages are available, and we expect that
each will be in the region of €1500 including VAT.
Should your product
or service wish for any other promotional tool, please do not hesitate to
contact the Club at the above e-mail address. We look forward to working
together in the provision of high quality sports participation for young people.
