As part of our process of transparency of the operation of Merville United, details of all the expenditures and costs of running a club that has 200 members, shall be posted on this page as available.  This page, and all its contents, remain the information of the Club, and a full breakdown of accounts will be furnished on request to any parent.

Funding News: As part of our commitment to ensure that players play the game, which is the purpose of membership, we have decided to hire the Sligo Rovers Mondo Facility to play league matches, as per SLYSL and FIFA Directives on artificial surfaces. However, as visiting clubs have an expense of travel to the venue, which we do not, the burden of costs will fall to ourselves in the main (K/Enniscrone excepted).  Sligo Rovers have agreed a Youth Rate of 70 euro per match, which when added to the 15 euro per game referee fee, and the 15 euro per match laundry fee, making a grand total of 100 euro per match.  That figure does not include ancillary costs such as phone calls, Medical Kit updates, match footballs etc.  All parents are advised that the 2 euro training fee goes towards this match cost, as does the 5 euro match fee.  Negotiations are under way with the SL League to possibly provide a subsidy towards this extra expense.  However further fundraising will be required to make up a growing deficit, and support for such events will be expected.
