Chess League |
Our school is entering the E.S.B.
sponsored Checkmate Competition for Chess. We recently received a
chess package from the E.S.B. which contained chess sets, rules
and a CD ROM containing an instructional chess playing programme
for beginners. Mr. O' Dwyer, the sixth class teacher, runs a
chess league for the sixth classes in the school hall during
lunch time. A school competition will begin soon and the overall
winners of the competition will win a trip to Disney World in
France.
