School History

St. Michael's Boys National was officially opened by his Lordship, Bishop Michael Browne in June 1969. It is part of the largest primary school building complex in the west of Ireland. Our school, which is located in the eastern suburbs of Galway city, caters for boys from 2nd-6th class( 7yrs - 12yrs). Currently there are just over 250 boys in the school. There are 14 teachers on the staff, these are:
