Cork is un rivalled in its size compared to any other harbour within the Republic Of Ireland.
Cork has a few key areas within it's harbour duristiction those been Ringaskiddy , Cobh , Halbowline, and the City of Cork.
Halbowline island situated opposite Ringaskiddy and Cobh is home to the the Irish Naval Base.

This is a view of Cork Dockyard from Passage West also within the image is the two survey vessels the " Siren" ex
trinity house and the "Bligh" . Cork dockyard was the home to Verolme Shipbuilding. Although ships are not built here today
the dockyards dry-docks are use by vessels wanting to carry out repair / survey work .

Here can be seen the trailer suction dredger "Vlaanderen XXI " making her way to to the dumping grounds with a full load .

Here can be seen the Grimaldi lines ro/ro vessel Gran Bretagna at Ringaskiddy deep water berth .

Seen here is the Brittany Ferries vessel " Val De Loire " loading at her berth in Ringaskiddy. The Val De Loire makes regular sailing’s from Cork
harbour to Rosscoff in France.
