Russia
Pre 2001 most adoptions in Russia were handled through the Frank Adoption Centre. However, due to a change in the Russian adoption laws in March 2000 (requiring adoption agencies to work only with their own nationals), the Frank organisation no longer works with Irish adopters. There are a number of Independent facilitators handling adoptions for Irish couples.
Many couples use En Route travel to facilitate their adoption. Russian adoptions are also handled by independent facilitators like Oleg Oleynikov, Olga Farrell and Denis Rybakov. The M.I.A.G. does not endorse any individual facilitator or agency.
