The private chambers was where the kings guests stayed when there were festivals and celebrations. They were treated as royality and were waited on hand and foot by the king's servants. The private chambers were some of the nicest and well decorated rooms in the whole castle. Also in may castles it was the king who stayed in the private chambers.
