Our Lady Help of Christians

In the 70's the population in the Castletroy/Monaleen area continued to expand resulting in a new parish being formed in 1980 serving the Milford/Newcastle/Annacotty area.This parish came under the direction of the Salesians of Don Bosco and was called Our Lady Help of Christians in honour of The Blessed Virgin for whom Saint Don Bosco had great devotion.
Our school is lucky to be situated so close to the parish church and as part of our school ethos, we maintain close links with our church.
The children take an active part in various aspects of the church's celebrations throughout the yeare.g. School Masses, Carol Singing,Christmas Pageant and many other Liturgical Services.
Other events together with our direct contact with a mission school in Kenya all combine to enhance the developmental education of the pupils.
