Here in Milford our pupils our pupils are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sporting activities. All pupils spend an hour in the pool once a fortnight, and by sixth class are quite strong swimmers.

Each summer we field a 48 strong athletics team, ages 8 to 13, to represent us in the Limerick Schools sports Competition.

Our u10, u111/2, and u13 boys teams have a proud tradition in Gaelic Football. Our most recent achievement was winning the Spillane Cup to become Limerick City Champions.

Not to be outdone, our girls kick a mean football as well: at both soccer and gaelic matches. The girls' soccer team participated in the inter schools soccer competition reaching the semi-finals.

Hurling and Camógie are the sports we have been most successful at over the years. In hurling we have won several City Championship Finals at u10, u111/2,and u13 levels.

Milford girls love the clash- of- the Ash as much as the boys and have won several camóige trophies at u10, u111/2 and u13 levels.

The senior girls are keen basketballers and "shoot hoops" with the best of them in the Limerick City Basketball League.
Our not so senior girls are big into rounders.

Once a year we organise a "Sports-for-All" day in the school. On this day, everyone participates in non-competitive just- for -fun events such as musical chairs, sack-races, egg'n'spoon, bouncy castle, three- legged race etc, etc,
