The Missing Link S.C. was formed out of a scootering vacum in Dublin in late 2001 early 2002. Whilst there were a large number of scooter enthusiasts in the the city, there was little in the way of formal scooter clubs and it was difficult to hook up with a group of people to go on rallies and rideouts etc. A number of us met online on the Irish Scooter Club message board , and finding many other like minded individuals it was decided to meet up and scoot! Initially the numbers were small, four or five bikes in lousy weather tearing up and down the wicklow mountains, hydroplaning on cow crap into ditches and consuming fried breakfasts and beer in large quantities. As we persisted, more people became interested and the numbers grew. The idea to formalize this group as a club came over a few well deserved pints in Drogheda one dark, freezing cold night last January after a few of us had scooted up from Dublin. the reasoning being, if we are going to subject ourselves to this torture then we might as well put a name to it. The name, well thats another story...

Since then the club has grown and grown and we now regularly get 15 to 20 bikes turning up for rideouts and have attended rallies all over Ireland as a club, some of the guys even went to the Holidays in Holland rally, photos of which can be seen elsewhere on the site. We are always interested in meeting fellow scooterist and welcome new members. The idea is to avoid being elitist or unapproachable and provide an outlet for scooterist from all over Dublin to indulge their pastime to their hearts content. Oh, and we go out drinking quite a bit.
