Hong Kong is located at the southern tip of Mainland
China. It was until recently, a British possession, but
in 1997 it once again became part of China.
It is a densey populated area where housing is in great demand.
Economy:
Hong Kong is famous as a centre for trade and
commerce. Items manufactured in Hong Kong can be
found all over the world. |

Religion:
Religious practices are not widespread, but rituals
and offerings influenced by Taoism and Buddhism
predominate at festivals and funerals. There
are Muslim. Buddhist and Christian
minorities.
Language:
English is the official language but most people
speak Cantonese, a form of Chinese. |

toward those who are almost invisible in the hustle and
bustle of a world-class metropolis. They work in
the pastoral care of the sick and dying; run a
centre for women enslaved by the entertainment industry;
visit prisoners and facilitate faith formation in
local parishes and retreat centres.
