Location:  The United States is situated between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans with Mexico to the South and Canada to the North.

Religion:  There is a Protestant majority.  Catholics are about 23% of the population.  The U.S. is home to the largest Jewish community in the world.

Language:  English is the official language of the country.  A large number speak Spanish or one of the several languages of the various immigrant groups. 

Economy:  The U.S. is a high-income economy.  It is the world’s greatest industrial producer with a highly diversified economy. 

The Columban Sisters in the U.S.

The primary focus of the work of the Columban Sisters in the U.S. is to raise awareness of what it means to be  missionary and invite others to support the work and participate in it.  In addition, the Sisters also provide services to local churches and communities.
