Moorefield A 1-10 St.Laurences 0-04
Moorefield their league campaign with an emphatic victory eventually after strugling for much of the first half to convert scoring chances. michael Tracey opened the scoring for Moorefield after the first minute with a fine individual point. St Laurences then found themselfs three points down after scores from Alan Thorpe and Mark Doyle with fourteen minutes gone on the clock. But with Moorefield kicking a lot of wides, the forwards confidence seemed to desert them for the first half. Laurences got back into the game with scores from Padraig O Neill and Andy Ward (2) to level the game at half time.
Moorefield switched around their attackers for the second half and this had the desired effect as they scored freely for much of the half. Andy Ward got another point for Laurences with ten minutes to go but Moorefield by now were in total command.
