CLUB NOTES

It was another busy week on the playing fields starting on Tuesday last when the Senior footballers travelled to St.Laurences taking the two league points with a deserving win on the score of 2-12 to 0-09 on the down side the game saw Ronan Swenney having to be carried off with an ankle injury, lets hope the injury is not serious. On Wednesday evening we saw the Junior Camogie team qualify for the league finals with a surprisingly easy win over Sarsfields 3-07 to 0-02, then on Friday evening last the U/16 "A" team had two points to spare over Sarsfields to qualify for the semi-finals of the championship and keeps them on course for an historic four in a row. To complete the week the Seniors were home to Ellistown in the S.F.L on Saturday evening last and despite being short several regulars were deserving winners on the score of 2-12 to 0-07.

Underage training and coaching continues on Saturday morning for Boys & Girls age 6 to 12 yrs, new mwmbers welcome meet at Scoil Mhuire 10.45a.m

CLUB NOTES

Following on from the Minors comprehensive win over Round Towers on Monday evening last there were excellent wins recorded by our U/16 "A" Team who accounted for St.Laurences on Friday evening last on the score 4-12 to 1-05 in the championship first round proper, and also for our Junior "C" team who had a big win over newcomers Kildangan in the first round of the championship as well. The Minors now await the winners of Leixlip and Sarsfields and this game is fixed for Monday 30th July 7.30pm in Raheens, while the U/16 "A" Team have a home Championship game against Sarsfields this coming Friday 27/7/01. Also fixed for this weekend is the S.F.L game Moorefield V Ellistown on Saturday 28/7/01 in Moorefield at 7.30pm.

Underage training continues each Saturday morning meeeting at Scoil Muire at 10.45am further information from Gerry Moran 433164 or Timmy Durney 432647.

CLUB NOTES

Congratulations to the U/12 Hurlers who won the U/12 County Blitz going through the competition (run over two saturdays) unbeaten and then beating St.Laurences in the Final, well done to all concerned. In the Junior Leagues the first Juniors had an away win over Round Towers to qualify for the semi-finals the secound Juniors also had an excellent win over Sarsfields. The Minors played an entertaining draw with Navan O'Mahonys over the weekend and the Seniors had a good win over the weekend over another  Meath team Summerhill on Sunday evening last. Fixtures to hand sees the minors play  RoundTowers in the 1st round of the Minor "A" Championship on Monday next 16/7/01 (time and venue will be posted here wednesday).

As i have already mentioned the Big Machinery is in and development of the top ten acres is going ahead full steam,to help finance this major undertaking the Club has launched a once off Big Draw with prizes valued at £10,000 (first prize is £5000 cash) Tickets are £30 each and can be paid for over a period, the draw not taking place until September 1st - we urge all players and members past and present to get behind this venture to ensure its success - further information can be got from any committee member.
