Club Notes

Congratulations to the senior football team on their victory in the Leinster Leader Cup Final. They showed great battling qualities to overcome an eagerKilcullen side 2-06 to 0-09. On Friday next the 23rd November a football meeting takes place in the clubhouse at 8.30pm with a view to outlining our plans for the coming year. All interested parties are urged to attened. The Annual General meeting takes place on Sunday 2nd November at 3.00pm and again a large attendance is anticipated. The annual Christmas Hamper draw goes again this year and tickets are available from the usual promoters and all committee members. Underage training continues every Saturday morning meeting at Scoil Mhuire at 11am.

Club Notes

Following on from the Junior "C"s winning the Championship for the second year running when they had a comprehensive win over Monasterevin, it was disapointment on Saturday last when the U/21 squad relinquished their crown when losing by 2 points to a very strong and talented Maynooth College team and while not taking away from the winners to say Moorefield hardly played at all in the first half would be an understatement, however the second half saw a different Moorefield team playing with a spirit and pride that was certainly missing in the first half, they dominated for most of the half and but for the several glaring misses in front of goal could have stolen the game in the end.

This Sunday 18th in St.Conleths Park at 2.45pm Moorefield play Kilcullen in the final of the Leinster Leader Cup, all support welcome. Training and Coaching for underage Boys and Girls 6 to 12yrs continues this saturday meet at Scoil Mhuire 10.45am
