Club Notes
Congratulations and well done to our Senior Footballers who on sunday afternoon last became the first Senior Champions of the new Millinnium and they did it in style with a first half performance that left ardent supporters and neutrals stunned. This Championship win was a magnificant team effort from the mentors right down to the substitutes used throughout the campaigne, the majority of the players have come up through the club youth policy and Moorefield club is indebted to these people who continuesly give of their spare time to coach and train our young players from the age of 6years right up to managing the different underage teams who take part in the south board leagues and county leagues and championship. They are the backbone of the club. Commiserations to the Minors who also did well to get to the county final and were far from disgraced going under to a very good Leixlip team on the day. Our Junior 'C's grabbed their own bit of glory on Saturday last when they gave an excellent display of points taking when they defeated Naas 1-21 to 0-8. They now meet the winners of Carbury or Johnstownbridge in the Championship Semi Final at St Kevins next Sunday morning. Down also for the next weekend is the JFC 'A' Quarter Final Moorefield versus Milltown at Sarsfields at 3.30pm.
Underage training and coaching continues Saturday mornings with Boys and Girls Under 6 to 12 years of age meeting at Scoil Mhuire at 10.45am.

CLUB NOTES
It was a quite weekend on the playing fields with only a couple of South Board League games down for decision. The Under 13 'A' team versus Ballyteague was called off on Saturday, with the Under 13 'B' team loosing to Eadstown, while on Sunday morning the Under 11 'B' team had an excellent win over 'Geraldines' in Castlemitchell on the score 5-4 to 3-7 having come from nine points behind.
With the Minor 'A' Team already into the County Final, hopes are high that the Senior team will join them on Sunday the 22nd of October. This they can achieve if they can overcome Round Towers on Saturday next 14th of October in Newbridge at 2.30pm. This promises to be another great game of football and we urge our supporters to turn out in force to roar on the 'Boys in Green and White'
