Last evening I received your letter. I rejoice that God takes all your
happiness away to teach you to serve God with greater purity of
intention. Oh, how good it is to be on the cross with Jesus without
seeing that or knowing that. This is the shortcut to arrive at that
happy death to all created things in order to live purely in the
Uncreated and Immense Good.
