Rules

  1. All Membership Cards must be signed by issuing officer and by the holder.
  2. To facilitate preservation, membership cards must be carried when fishing.
  3. All members must produce their cards on request.
  4. ALL TROUT UNDER 9 INCHES MUST BE RETURNED ALIVE TO RIVER.
  5. All members must be courteous to, and facilitate, the riparian owners in every way.
  6. Great care must be taken not to damage fences and any damage done should be remedied. Members observing damage to fences should report to the Secretary or other Officer. No fires whatsoever may be lit near the forests or woods and members should refrain from dumping any litter into the water or on the river banks.
  7. All fair methods of rod fishing allowed.
  8. Members are requested to show courtesy to other members and particularly :
    1. Members should not start fishing in the course of, and unreasonably near to, a member fishing already.
    2. Members will endeavor not to disturb water actually being fished by another member.
    3. Under no circumstances cast over a fish which another member is fishing for.
  1. No maggot fishing.
  2. Subscriptions –
    1. Annual Membership 5 pounds. (as of year 2000)
    2. Under 16 Annual Membership 2 pounds. (as of year 2000)
    3. Visitors day ticket (per day) 3 pounds (as of year 2000)
  1. The committee would appreciate reports from members at the end of the season setting out the approximate number of 8inch trout caught, and the number of keepable trout caught. This information will help the committee to decide whether restocking is necessary. Any suggestions as to the improvement of the fishing will be very welcome.
  2. Any sign of pollution, however small, should be reported to the acting committee.
  3. BAG LIMIT 6 TROUT.
