All of the PYM sporting events contribute toward the Sports Shield.

This highly desired and sought after trophy is magnificient and has adorned the mantle of the most salubrious sporting establishments that the Presbytery of Cavan/Monaghan has to offer.

Currently residing in the halls of Ballyalbany, does your team have what it takes to raise the shield above their head shouting ... "We are the champions" ?

The basketball has decided whose name gets carved on the sports shield this year ... "Newbliss". That name shall ring round the halls and churches of counties Cavan and Monaghan for manys the month. They seized control of the board in the Its A Knockout and never relinquished their grip. Stalwarts of the sporting arena - die hard gladiators of the court. Well done dudes !

Congratulations also to Castleblayney for closing up towards the end and also to Ballyalbany for taking third place. Thanks to all who participating - you were great sports. Thanks to Malcolm, Erskine, to any and all for organising, refereeing, transporting, shouting, cheering, clapping, jumping up and down and helping out in any and every way.
