Naomh Padraig Celtic was formed in 1998 by Ciaran Burke, Dave Brothers and Nigel Brothers. The aim of the club was simple, to promote a healthy activity for persons regardless of background which was as cost-effective as possible, to enable persons to enjoy themselves in a social and healthy environment, to allow a long term principle for gradual progression, to allow  persons to help in the planning issues which may affect the club or themselves, and finally to encourage persons to believe in their ability as a person and also as a team member. With these aims in mind, we set about enlisting members. Today we have no fewer than fifteen members in our club.

The name "Naomh Padraig Celtic F.C." originated from Naomh Padraig Celtic Supporters Club of Dublin. They kindly donated our first team kit,  Celtic jerseys (green and white hoops), white shorts and white socks. They also donated enough funds to number the jerseys and shorts.

We entered into the Leinster Football League of Ireland, Division 1 Sunday and used the Phoenix Park in Dublin for all our home games, but in our first season we struggled to make any impact at all.

At present we are nearing the halfway point in the season, but we are still struggling to find our feet. This has not stopped us from attracting players from abroad and at present boast a number of different nationalities in our squad. Hopefully our club can go from strength to strength and over the coming years can become a club who can challenge for cups and titles.
