If I could turn back the clock Send me your thoughts on what you might have done differently |
1. I would have bought a New car sooner, enjoyed rhe newness and sold for "half the price," instead of buying a 2nd hand banger for . . . "half the price" 2. I would have tried to be an entrepreneur younger, when I had the energy to be an entrepreneur! 3.Took a lot more Loans and Bigger Loans out to get on, knowing now there's little consequence if any, if you can't pay them back.! |
Bad Payers and “Bad Dealers” If I could turn back the clock I would only buy a machine from the Machine manufacturers agent . I bought a machine in the 6 figure bracket from a dealer abroad who dumped the machine on my premises. Now if I have a problem I have to pay for their time on the phone. The spare parts that was supposed to come with the machine they want me to pay for. I have since found out other horror stories about this company. |
If I could turn back the clock I would have done the following years ago. 1. Made sure the death policy I took out was payable on death and not a term policy that ceases on reaching 65 Having paid over €30,000 into a death policy it died before I did. 2. Should have joined the local Credit Union when I was younger. Unfortunately never did join 3. Having planted conifers 30 years ago 20 each side of my 1/4 acre site in Courtown I was advised when they grew to 12ft to trim the tops and shape them. Never took the advice and they grew to 30ft and ugly including blocking early morning and late evening sunshine. Last year in the winter storms they started to collapse and to avoid destroying my 2 mobile homes I had them cut down costing over €1000. Now the place looks bear. I now look and admire those trees elsewhere nicely trimmed and box shape approx 10 to 12ft high and imagine how nice they would have looked had I taken the advise. |
