This was our first time to Venice and the hotel was perfect for us. It was directly accross the road from the main train station with trains running into Venice every few minutes. We found it much easier to stay outside of Venice and not have to drag bags on and off of water taxis and over steps and cobble streets. We would stay here again. One word of warning, if you stay in Venice after midnight, it can be difficult to get transport back to the hotel. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpfull and it was a very nice experience |
The Plaza Hotel is a very good hotel at a convenient location for a first time visit to Venice. It very cheap on the train to Venice and the Grand Canal is right in front of the Venice train station. Couple that with the bus stop and ticket kiosk just a short block away, and the airport is only 15 minutes away..The room was well furnished and clean and the bathroom was quite elegant. Breakfast was exceptionally good and we dined in one evening and that restaurant was very good also, with a good wine list. The staff was very helpful and friendly. |

location is great for busy travel itineraries. The staff is top notch and ready to help at a moments notice. My family was on a busy 10-day touring trip and the easy train access is a big plus, and a short cab ride to the airport when we left was easy. The staff is knowlegable of all local places of interest and transportation, and good at suggesting various options. Our 3 days in Venice were great...and we had a very nice work of art shipped home from the Murano Glass Factory also. |
Hotel Plaza is situated directly opposite Venice-Mestre’s railway station, only a few minutes journey from Venice. This location ensures that the hotel’s guests can easily and quickly reach not only the City of the Doges but also the business regions of North East Italy and enjoy, in total comfort, the beauty of the Veneto Dolomites, and the architectural wealth of the Riviera del Brenta, Padova and Treviso . Hotel Plaza is ideal, therefore, for both business men and for those who wish to admire the historical and artistic beauty of the Veneto region. How to reach us By train.
