Details are being finalised this week for the Procter & Gamble Inter-firms League. The league is open to anyone who can use a tennis racquet, whether a member of the Nenagh club or not. Teams of 4 players (2 men, 2 ladies) are invited to enter. The rules are posted at the club.
In response to demand, the organisers have indicated that there will be a special ladies only section for beginners/'D' players if there's enough entries. There's a shortage of men, so teams of 4 ladies will be welcomed.
The organisers will be sorting out the entries on this Wednesday night, so get those entries into the club by Wednesday night. The draw and schedule of matches will be posted up at the clubhouse on Friday evening. The league opens on Monday night.
Membership subscriptions are now due. Details at Nenagh Credit Union where monies may be paid. Hon Treasurer Brian Hanly will also accept same. Single subscriptions and Family subscriptions are cheaper up to May 1st.
The Junior Club Coaching is on at the moment at the club. This will, one hopes encourage more use of the courts by those juniors for practicing, etc. The courts are now free to the junior members until 6 pm each day.
Booking however still applies. If you have a court booked, you are entitled to get to use it. If a court is free or unbooked of course, it may be used. However, if there are people waiting to use the courts, you are obliged to vacate the court at the end of what would be a normal booking time slot. You may of course continue to use it, if there's no one wishing to go on.
