There
was an extension constructed to Dr. Daly’s about 1 or 2 years ago. Mike
Culhane did the building part and it added 4 new rooms to the original building.
Mrs. Culloty owns the house next door and she kindly agreed to sell precisely half of
her house to aid the extension. The building itself took a while but it was well
worth it in the end as it turned into a fantastic asset for the surgery, with
the old waiting room being transformed into a spacious new reception and a
waiting area if you need forms or anything like that. In the new part of the
building there’s a modern new waiting room and a well-equipped new play area
with toys and things for the smaller children. There’s also a hygienic
bathroom and an extra surgery. Then to the right of that they have yet another new
surgery, which is used by the G.P registrars and also by an optician and others
who come in at various times during the month. Then there’s an impressive new
treatment room and as you proceed to the older part of the building there’s a
bathroom, another treatment room, two surgeries and then the old reception room,
which is now mainly used for typing and filing and if you turn right you're back
into the new reception area and the entrance/exit. by Bart Daly |
