The Ring of Kerry

In order to get to the Ring of Kerry the journey leads over the mountains via Glengarriff to Kenmare. Along the coast to Sneem and on to Caherdaniel and Derrynane with its lovely beaches.

Further on in Waterville you can find a golf course and enjoy a lovely view of Valentia Island with its gardens of tree ferns and other tender species.

Back around the north side of the peninsula the Dingle peninsula and Blasket Islands are clearly visible.

The trip brings you back through Kilorglin and Killarney, the home of Muckross House. This nineteenth century Elizabethan  Revival house is open to the public and is surrounded by a park noted for its trees and shrubs. In particular palms, azaleas and magnolias.
