Johnstown Karate Club

The Karate school commences Friday 26th April 2002 at Johnstown Community Hall, Cabinteely (Near Killiney Shopping Centre and Victor Hotel).

"The club has been set up as there has been a huge demand for Martial arts / Self defence / Karate and Kickboxing training on the Southside of Dublin", advises the 2nd Dan Black Belt Instructor Kevina Malone.

Kevina has recently attained top honours Certification in Fitness and Instruction with the Dublin City University. As National Kata and Sparring Champion, Kevina has represented Ireland in three World Kickboxing and Karate championships. She currently runs two Karate clubs in Blackrock and is in training for her Blackbelt in Kickboxing. Kevina is extremely successful in Kata and Sparring competitions in international and World competition level and now she feels she owes it to the sport to continue to put something back.

"This is a sport for both male and female young and old, whether you are doing it for fitness, self defence or self confidence now is the opportunity."

"Whether you are a 6 year old child or a 60 year old adult, try it and see what you think and I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised."
