Guidance

The Guidance Counsellor performs a dual role. Their primary function is as Career Guidance teacher, there to assist students with their choices or subjects and courses. Career information (including Internet access) and assistance with CAO applications is of major help to the students. Students are catered for both in class groups and 'one to one'. Advice is also available on compilation of c.v. and on interview preparation. Their other function is as Guidance Counsellor, there to assist students in difficulty arising either in school or in their personal lives. The former (primary) role is described as such because it applies to all school students.
