Maths, English and Irish are examined at Foundation, Ordinary, or Higher level. All other subjects are examined at Ordinary or Higher level. Certain restrictions arise on the numbers able to do particular subjects e.g. where limits exist on class size or on room availability. Within these constraints every effort is made to accommodate the wishes of students in their choice of subjects. In providing the widest possible choice the aim is to prepare students for a wide range of careers and create a solid foundation for entering Senior cycle. |
