Leadership

Many students participate very successfully in the President's Awards scheme, and in other leadership ventures. The school also participates in the Young Entrepreneurs scheme organised County Enterprise Board. Advice and assistance are forthcoming from experienced Staff members.

During the year, many trips are organised for the benefit of students. Trips are seen as valuable enhancements to the school programmes, covering Drama, History, Geography, Biology, Languages and the Physical Sciences, in the Junior and Senior Cycle. European trips take place regularly.

School teams participate in competitions organised by Muintir na Tíre, Concern, The E.S.B., Junior Chamber Ireland, and the Mental Health Association. Students benefit greatly from their participation which provides them with invaluable self-confidence building and intellectual and verbal articulation skills.
