Flannabhra, later chief of the Umhalls
Seven generations after Flannabhra who died in 778, another individual named
Flannabhra emerged as the chief of the Umhalls. He was a grandson of Maille
(eponymous ancestor of the O'Malley family), and died around 950. He was
possibly the ancestor of the Connaught sept of Ó Flannabhra, but there is
only circumstantial evidence to support this theory at present.
