John O'Flannelly, Canon of Inishmurry, County Sligo 1510
Papal letters record that on 15th June 1510, John O'Flannelly, a Canon
of the Augustinian monastery of Inishmurry, alias The Island, Killala and Elphin
dioceses, promised to pay the Treasury the Annates for the aforesaid Priory, now
held by Charles O'Connor without title, the fruits of which were commonly estimated
as not exceeding twenty-four marks sterling, and which Priory was then to be conferred
on the aforesaid John O'Flannery.
