The early criminal records are available in summary format. The sentence was typically either transportation, imprisonment or a fine, depending on the severity of the crime. If the case was sent to the Lord Lieutenant, there may be either a favourable or unfavourable decision without reference to any other judicial parties. If the case was referred by the Lord Lieutenant to either a Judge or an Assistant Barrister, then there may be either a favourable or unfavourable decision upon reference. The record may also include a further reference and remarks.
