The James John Flannery Sr. Map Library in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A. was dedicated to Dr. James J. Flannery. A brief biography is given in the Hall of Fame.

The library is an important learning aid to the geography department, and is located on the second floor of Bolton Hall. It functions as a government depository for maps, and houses many thousands of maps of all description, including the large James John Flannery Sr. Map Collection, as well as a collection of atlases. The library is operated completely by graduate students and work-study undergraduates; a situation which may be unique among major geography departments.
