(plus 9 hours external logged coaching experience)
This course is free to Affiliated members of the Munster Branch. Unaffiliated applicants 19.00EURO. Cheques payable to The Munster Branch.

Aim:
To develop basic coaching skills
To enable coaches to introduce Table Tennis to children and adults
To encourage awareness of all aspects of coaching under the broad heading of the sport of Table Tennis for the coaches and the participants
Entry:
Participants should be 18 years or over
Complete application
Optional to have completed introductory award
Award:
NCDP Level One ITTA Coach
Equivalent to ITTA Initiator/Club Coach
NVQ Level One U.K.
Context:
Award is certified by the ITTA and accredited by the NCTC
Practical Coaching:
8 hours of logged experience detailed in a logbook
Methodology:
Coaches will be encouraged to participate in a training course at which teamwork; skill development, analysis and evaluation will be emphasised
The importance of the player will be central to the course
The continuum of coaching to facilitate the enhancement of the player in his/her growth as person and competitor will be established with a strong drive towards lifetime learning for the coach.

Assessment:
Practical assessment of ability to coach basic techniques (15 minutes)
30 minutes Open Book test on course material
Log Book - 8 hours experience

An evaluation form for coaches and tutors will be completed for each Course.
