Alcohol has been consumed by humans for tens of thousands of years.
Poisonous, if you have too much. Enjoyable, if you don't.

Italy
Despite a recent holiday to Livigno, didn't a get any italian beers only Tuborg,Carlsberg,Red Wine and wicked cocktails. And a couple of pints of Guinness. Since returning I've tried some italian beer in an italian restuarant only ok

Sweden Over my 10 months in sweden, I found alcohol not as expensive as commonily, especially with recent prices in Dublin. And there is much better deals to have (1)bars without music (2)bars selling Czech Bar such as Solat(3) using the SystemBolaget, state controlled off-licenses
There are 4 draught lagers available nationally
Falcon,Pripps Blå,Carlsberg Hof, Spendthurps
But only Carlsberg was reliably tasty and calling it "Hof" is quicker. A Class system was applied on all beers and lagers in sweden it was like this..

Class I: up to 2% alcohol. Very weak beer, typically drunk at lunchtime in company canteens. Pripps Blå and Nordland Guld were the two I tried. Ok, for 12am.
Class II: from 2% to 3.5% Early evening or Early Beer. This is the strongest beer available from supermarket. So they were the only cans available from 1pm Saturday to 9am monday.
Class III:from 3.5% to 5.5% Starköl, normal to Strong. The Typical beer in Pubs and Cans was in this range.
Class IV :from 5.5% to 7% Starköl, Strong. An example is Carlsberg's Sort Guld in this category was described as "like honey" when I brought a couple of cans back to ireland. It's my favorite carlsberg outside of denmark.
Class V: above 7% Very Strong Such beer as Carlsberg's Elphant Lager, which is 11% alcohol and horrible, fall into category.
MarieStead and Skåne are good swedish beers but usually only available in bottles.
